Our conversation made me think of many of the young people I have
spoken with over the years who have experienced bullying. I often
think that if you want to find a best friend, you should find someone
who has been bullied, because in my experience they have learned
the hard way what not to do to others—they know firsthand how

those conversations unless we actively seek them out.
I do not know whether you and I will end up talking or not, but I
thought you deserved to hear what your father shared. And if at
some point you would like to talk with me, then let us see if we can
find a time that works.
