In Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, I became part of a small team. We were the
ones who could take on families that no one else could or would help. We were
six in an outpatient clinic of over 100 who did something a little crazy and
different—but it worked.
David Epston visited our team in 2014, and he quickly became fascinated by the
fact that people in Denmark can read their medical records online, including the
families who came to us.
I remember that he saw this as an opportunity to collaborate with and honor the
