for such a meeting.
Working in a multi-disciplinary team has many advantages. The community nurses
who visited Tom at home were also seeing Cherie and would alert me if they were
concerned for her or any other members of Tom9s family. I was also aware that
one of the nurses might be Cherie9s preferred support person and, in an
organisation like hospice, the family would also have the option of seeing another
counsellor.
The following week I received a phone call from Tom.
