KAY: I remember many years ago—and this will appeal to American audiences—
working with a young woman and her mother. I was conducting a wonderfulness
inquiry during the first session, our first conversation, with an American family—
the young woman had been born in New Zealand, was about 15, and had a
commitment to social justice and social causes. I asked the mum if she had any
idea where her daughter9s commitment to social justice comes from?
She started telling me about herself and her own history as she9d done lots of
volunteering work and particularly around the area of domestic violence. Then I
