give out for when you9re doing well and you get gift cards and stuff. I feel
like he9ll be good at getting those awards.
As we wrapped up the session, I prompted the family to reflect on some of the
things that were different now at home. The family had been sharing Shadow had
started singing all the time.
Dad: He9s been singing a lot lately - in the living room and his room. Or he9ll be in
the car, singing.
Mom: I heard him singing in the shower. I love his voice.
Grace: Sometimes he9ll be in his zone and he9ll just start singing. We9ll just listen
and let him do his thing. At first he was kind of embarrassed to sing, but
he9s been doing it more and more. He9s happier now.
I wondered aloud to the family, thinking about how before the home was filled
with yelling, screaming, and slamming doors, and now it was full of singing.
